WELCOME to my webpage.

I'm LAPORSHA. I am 13 years old. Some of my favorite hobbies are jumping rope, riding bikes, skating, and working with the Shodor Foundation. I enjoy working with the Shodor Education Foundation. How I got started with the Shodor Education Foundation is: 1. I signed up at school. But, this program is only for 7th graders. 2. I had to get interviewed about different job careers that I wanted to do. 3. They sent me a letter saying that I was in and I just came. When they told me that I was working with the Shodor Education Foundation and they told me it was about computers I was like Great! so I arrived at the worksite we did many different things there. OH! And, by the way I signed up for the YLFT Youth Looking at the Future Today.

Some of the things we did at the Shodor Education Foudation is we took a tour around the building. We worked on the computers. An intern named Monte taught us HTML, a computer language that is really fun. We got to make our own website- that's what this is. I really enjoy working with computers - they are really interesting and fun. Friday we are going to have a pizza party. I think it is because of our good behavior and hard work. We also have to do projects for the YLFT program, about our worksites that we went to. You have all different kinds of projects you can do. You can do games, reseach papers, create a comic script, or do a collage. I am doing a collage. We worked on two websites at Shodor: the SSEP (Student Science Enrichment Program) website, and the www.shodor.org website. When we finish our projects we are going to put them on display at the Armory, because we are going to have a closing celebration for YLFT. I have had lots of fun at the Shodor Education Foundation and YLFT.
