Hi! You have just entered the website of Lady Kay also known as Kayla I just want you to know that I am 12 years old and I will be 13 July 25th For my birthday I plan on going to the Destiny's Child concert featuring Mario, Tyra, and Amerie. I plan on going with some of my best friends and my mom. This week (6/13/05-6/17/05) I am going to a camp called YLFT(Youth looking at the future today). YLFT is a career decision program for rising 8th graders who take a trip to the job of there intrest for a week. This week I am going to a computer engineering place called Shodor located on Morgan st. in downtown Durham. I hope I will learn a lot and tell others about my experience. At the end of the week, I have to make a scrapbook of all of the things I did during the week and share it with my family and my mentors.
As you can see, my name is Kayla. I am 12 years old and I attend Rogers Herr Year Round Middle School were I am a rising 8th grader. I enjoy playing the piano, taking dance classes, listening to music, meeting new people, and talking to my friends. I also enjoy going to church were I participate in the Drama Ministry and the Dance Team. I also read the Reading Response in front of the whole church one Sunday. It was an intresting experience! As a student at Rogers Herr, I participated in the Band, a Student Ambassodor, a member of the 2004-2005 basketball and volleyball team and I was on the A/B honor roll the entire year. I also received a 3 on my Reading EOG and a 4 in Math. On the Writing Test I also recieved a 3.
