![]() ASL | Problem Our company is planning a resort on the moon. The company hopes to visit other bodies in the solar system. The rockets need to have enough supplies for our guests and crew for the trip. The rocket also needs enough fuel to achieve the necessary velocity to catch the moon. |
![]() ASL | Question: Is the moon's speed constant? Is the moon moving faster or slower when it is close to the Earth? How will we need to adjust the fuel / payload ratio for launches at different times of the month? |
![]() ASL | Task: You are part of a team of rocket scientists. Your job is to calculate the moon's maximum and minimum speed. |
![]() ASL | You will: Calculate the greatest and slowest speed of the moon as it orbits the Earth. Create a spreadsheet, which calculates the speeds for any of the bodies that orbit the Sun. |
