Daphnia Algae a Study of Pond Dynamics

intro

Daphnia and algae are small freshwater organisms. They can be raised in the classroom. They also play an important role in our ponds and streams. We will use a STELLA model to explore how they interact with each other and their environment.

Daphnia hunt for and eat algae. Daphnia are considered predators and algae are their prey. You will see how populations in a predator - prey relationship change over time.
