| The signs IN WHICH, 2+5, OFF, IF, and $19.08 are
conceptually incorrect. The interpreter invented signs for the store
and the person but never fingerspelled the names. Which could indicate
that the interpreter is lazy or doesn't have good fingerspelling
skills. **English word order does not help the students to visualize the setting and can cause confusion in their minds. If students can understand English print, they don't need the ASL. But, if they don't understand English print, using signed English will not help them understand the text any better. |
