When you come up with a name sign you need to spell the name first and pair it with the sign. There needs to be agreement between the student and the interpreter.
**English word order does not help the students to visualize the setting and can cause confusion in their minds. If students can understand English print, they don't need the ASL. But, if they don't understand English print, using signed English will not help them understand the text any better.
