SUCCEED

forensics 2016
Shodor > SUCCEED > Workshops > Archive > forensics 2016

The class began with a good introduction explaining the plan for the class. The class was then asked to tell and review what they have been going over for the past week. The students were able to review all the materials well and showed proficiency in them. The students remembered all of the previous information. They then began discussing the case that they were working with and how some different outcomes may occur. They did a good job of using what they have already learned to help figure out the problem. This showed it was a good workshop as well as good learning techniques were used. This is very important not just at Shodor, but also in life. They students were then taught how to use punnett squares and asked to do examples. They were able to do these well and then were also able to tell what type of traits they have whether they are heterozygous or homozygous and the actual trait displayed by that individual. We then began with the Jury. The two groups began prepping for the mock trial. They did a great job with the trial and were able to decide who was their primary suspect. In the end, the suspect was revealed to the students and the workshop was completed.
