In todayâs workshop, workshop students learned how to start their own website using HTML code. During the very beginning of class, they made their own public_html folder where they will be storing all of their work. They learned about tags and how it is similar to matryoshka dolls. Whenever a tag is opened, a closing tag is needed. They then learned how to link their HTML page to a CSS page so they could make their website look the way they want it to be such as adding colors, moving things around, changing font sizes, etc. After a quick snack break, their next accomplishment was adding a picture onto their website. They learned how to save an image into their public_html folder in order to display the picture they selected.
At the end of class, the last thing they did for today was writing their reflection.
