Today, the final day of the Web Design workshop, started with a review of all the work that the students had put into their websites throughout the week. This review process gave each student the chance to showcase their newfound HTML and CSS skills! Joel, the instructor, followed the review with a demonstration of a template he had created for web design and gave it to each of the students to modify. Next, the class returned to the world of Inkscape and GIMP to create more banners and artwork for their websites. Some students elected to go back and learn more about programming as well, branching out to learn new concepts in CSS which Joel referred to as the main "spice" of web design. Some of the new CSS elements Joel wanted the student to learn included rounding corners, transparent divs, padding between divs, and using pictures/gradients instead of image tags for backgrounds.

After the students finished working on their websites, Joel asked to see how fast the students could make a new page called "index2.html." Joel gave the class free reign to include whatever code they wanted to include on this new page. Every single student made great progress on this new page even despite having a much shorter amount of time to complete the page. At the end of the day, everyone had one more chance to demonstrate their new webpages by presenting them to the group. It was amazing to see the progress everyone had made since the beginning of the week!
