Cameron introduced the tools for Inkscape such as the edit path tool, zoom tool, pen tool and other types of tools. Students learned how to create objects and edit them with the tools and also created various test objects with different colors and strokes. Cameron demonstrated how you edit text to make it your own and how different texts can affect different media. Students then learned about the importance and benefits of layering. After the introductory work, students created created their banners which they will use on their web page on Thursday.

After a break, students learned about filters and path editing. Cameron talked about examples of vector vs bitmap images and sizes of the image and what do the numbers mean. After showing the students an example, he demonstrated the benefits of using guidelines and grinds to appropriate adjust images and spacing.
