This Friday, the students in SSP worked on creating more complicated models in small groups of two to five. Earlier in the week, they had made suggestions of possible topics that the small groups could choose to model. Jennifer discussed the importance of planning, so after forming the small groups and deciding which model to make the students started by planning out their models' behaviors using words and diagrams. As they finished planning, the students decided which of the modeling programs, Vensim, Agentsheets, or Excel, would be most apt for their projects.

The students continued to work on the model until much later in the afternoon. Then, groups had the chance to present their programs to other students in the SSP. Each group gave a short presentation about the model, or models, they had built over the course of that day. Overall the students learned more about modeling and the subjects they decided to model.
