The web design class worked on making logos and improving their sites today. Many of them used the internet to browse for images for their site background or logo; they took those images and edited them in Gimp/Inkscape so that they would fit the overall layout of their sites. Others just used Inkscape to create banners for their websites. Once they finished creating their logos or backgrounds, they exported them as PNGs and added them to their sites through their HTML code.

For the second half of class they went into the code of their websites to add styling with css. First, the class learned to add rounded corners to their text boxes on their websites. This is a new feature and it hasn't been implemented into all modern browsers just yet; for this css effect, the class had to use Mozilla Firefox as the browser. In addition to making rounded corners, the class also learned how to add a shadow to their boxes or text further adding to the aesthetic appeal of their websites. The shadows could be further customized by specifying pixel dimensions or by changing the shadow color in their css stylesheets. After finishing their graphics and adding the new css effects onto their sites, the class presented their websites.
