During the workshop today, the workshop students learned how to use the program Inkscape to edit and create their own images. The instructor went through how to use the different aspects of the program such as how to create completely symmetrical circles and squares, so that by the end of the class the students were able to use Inkscape independently.

After learning the basics, the first step they took in learning the new program was to edit the Target and Nike logos. The objective with the Target logo was to change the red of the logo into a different color. After all of the students had worked out any problems or complications they had, the class moved on to editing the Nike logo. The students had the chance to make the logo look the way they wanted it, by changing different aspects of the logo, such as creating a gradient, which is one color fading to another, from blue to black. For the last forty-five minutes of the class, the students were given a chance to create their own logos to put on their websites in the future
