Today, the students applied what they had learned in the previous day and attempted to be like real engineers. They had to build a structure to hold up a cup of marbles. They were given 50 straws and 85 pipe-cleaner pieces, and the objective was to see who could build the highest structure while being able to support the most amount of marbles. The students learned how to use their materials efficiently and effectively and how important structure is to a building.
