In Modeling Your World today, Eric and Sam taught the students in the class how to create a predator-prey model using AgentSheets. This computer program is an educational cyber learning tool used to create models and simulations. AgentSheets is used worldwide to teach students programming and related information technology skills through model design.

To teach the students about AgentSheets, Eric walked the students through a tutorial he created. Each student created a predator-prey model by creating several different agents that would interact in the simulation. The model the class created consisted of grass, dead grass, a timer, and rabbits. They gave each of these agents attributes and commands that they would follow.

After break, the class used the model to create graphs that illustrated rabbit, grass, and dead grass populations. They used these graphs to predict the ideal number of rabbits required to maintain a stable population.
