On the fourth day of forensics, Sam began the class by introducing a new icebreaker. In this activity, the students made up a class story by each person saying one word at a time.

Then the class began the main activity for the day: modeling the spread of the computer virus. Asa used Netlogo to model this scenario. He began with the interface and made the “go” and “setup” buttons. Then the students got some time to create a working model for a virus to spread to computers. Next, the students added the ability for computers to “recover.” They also added “immunity” and “counter” to kill the computers. At this point, students had a complete model and took time changing the parameters and playing with the model.
