Today, the students worked on probability. They began with a coin trial. They were instructed to flip a penny in three sets of ten (30 times) and take note of how many time they got heads. They learned about the 3 types of probability and learned that the one they'd just used was called experimental.

Next, they learned how to write probability in different forms including fractions, decimals, and percentages. After they talked about this for a few minutes they made a chart based on their penny experiment and entered it into the Shodor coin toss chart online. They all found out their penny's probability in percentages.
