Today, the students learned about the different patterns in math. The first half was about the Fibonacci series, and the students were given the first several numbers in the sequence. Students then tried to find the next several numbers in the sequence. Then, the students saw how the Fibonacci sequence is found in the real world, especially in nature. Then the students took the ratio of each pair in the pattern and realized that there is a pattern. The common ration between all the pairs was 1.618.

The topic then changed to the golden ratio, which is 1.618. The golden ratio is supposed to be very appealing to the eye. The students measured rectangles in art and architectures and then found the ratios of those rectangles. Lastly, the students learned about Pascal's triangle. Students were competing in a race to see who could complete the Pascal triangle first. Everyone was really excited about this activity and, the race was very energetic.
