The class explored applications of computational science by using Fire!! and Rabbits and Wolves. Student were able to observe the convenience of computational models. By using Fire!!, students were able to understand the use of probability and apply it to observing the simulation of a burning forest. Students were able to note that not all trial produced the same results and the need in science for multiple trial runs. By using Rabbits and Wolves, students saw the difficulty of attempting to build a sustainable ecosystem of rabbits, wolves, and grass.
