The following reports were written by members of Astronomy and Astrophysics during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today we experimented with gravity. We also ran models that showed how dark matter effected galaxies.

Today was pretty cool, lots of digital models that helped me see how chaotic yet organized the uuniverse can be. Dark matter is still a little fuzzy to me but it was still pretty interesting.

I enjoyed all the simulations we did with GalaxSee and the Galaxy Crash applet, tinkering and seeing the way that each of the variables interacted. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the Dark Matter applet, because, again, it seemed that it was just trial and error.

Brendan

Today was the best day yet. The interesting and exciting lessons were stimulating to the mind, and the modelling programs we used were a spectacle to the eyes.
