Today we did more work on the program called stella. Beacause of this program I think that It would be sort of cool to be in a career with computer science. Also for lunch some of us went to 9th Street.

Today's activities improved my understanding of modeling a lot.Using stella to solve the algorithms for the models made big equations a lot less intimidating. We modeled a dog heart, which was a lot more complicated than it looked, but turned out really neat.

Hi! Today I had great fun in the Medicine and Biosciences Workshop. We used the Stella program to do more modeling in subjects such as pharmacokinetics and physiology. I enjoyed the phsiology model we did of a dog's heart. I understood that in order to make the model you must use the algorithms. Duh! I think I would like to do my project on a physiology model. That would be great fun! I love Stella! I want a Stella t-shirt! I am amazed at how many different ways we can make math models to model our world! I'm learning sooooooooooooooooo much at the Medicine and Biosciences Workshop!

I would like for you to know that all that I have learned so far is very beneficial. I would like to receive copies of the STELLA and MACSpARTAN programs to use in college. These are wonderful learning tools. They peakdown the complicated math, such as Calculus, to easy to understand terms. Thank you very much for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Today we worked more with STELLA. We did a pharmaco kinetic model. We also did a cardiovascular physiology model. Since both of these models were done independently, i know how to use STELLA much better. We've also learned about different aspects of medicine. Through this program, I feel even more inspired to go further in medicine. I've learned more about what actually goes into different processes, such as pscribing medication. The field of medicine is very complicated. There is so much to learn and explore. STELLA is a great way of exploring one aspect of medicine.

Since I had 12 hours of sleep last night, I found it easier to concentrate. I better understood how to construct models on STELLA. but I have trouble with figuring out what parts of the algorithm are on the models. Nonetheless, the class is fun, and I am most definitely learning.

Today we investigated serveral models using STELLA. We were exposed to some new and intersting features that STELLA contained. I enjoyed the part when we took the equations and transferred them to STELLA format. We modeled drugs, hearts, and proper dosage of medicines. We learned how to quickly change variables in a STELLA model to change things such as weight, dosage, and drug type. I loved using STELLA, what else could be more fun?

Hello, Today was very interesting. During the physology part we made a model of a dogs heart. During the pharmaco kinetis part of the morning we made a model of drug and metabolite absorbtion and disposition. My favorite part was doing the madel of the dog heart. I would like to contenue this program once I return back to ohio and I would also like to keep using STELLA. Is there anyway I could receive a copy of the STELLA program?
