June 25, 1999

The last day of Math Explorations was led by a guest speaker, Dan Warner. The class began with an activity on magic squares. The class began with 3 x 3 squares and later began working with 4 x 4 squares. Dan also showed the class a prototype of a calculator that he is helping design for Casio.

Next, the students were introduced to Sunraycer, a nationwide event in which colleges enter non-gasoline fueled cars to race in a week long event. Each student chose a college to root for and find out as much about as they could about that team's car. All the students enjoyed viewing the results for the first few days and were encouraged to check back to the web site once the race was over.

The last day of class ended with the distribution of all the student's certificates of completion and the students' very own SUCCEED '99 T-shirts.
