The final day of Internet Science Explorations consisted of a chat session with several scientists all over the nation. The class began with a runthrough of all the rules of chatting and the etiquette the students were expected to follow. After an early break the students entered the chat. There were scientists from every major feild representing their study. There were also scientist that had different working experiences from doing research in large labs to scientists that worked primarily in the feild. The students interacted very well with the scientist and were all able to learn a lot.
Because this was the last day of Internet Science Explorations '99 there of course were the closing cerimonies. Each student received a certificate of acheivment at the Shodor Education Foundation's Internet Science Explorations. Each student also recieved their very own SUCCEED 1999 collectors T-shirt. The class went very well for the week and eveerybody seemed to have a good time.
