Stylizing with Filters and Color Options '70s Halloween Post Card

Demonstrate to the students the different effects you can create with filters using the woods.jpg picture to create a scary woods scene.

Open "woods.jpg" in GIMP

At the top CLICK on "Color"
select > "Brightness and Contrast" or "Hue and Saturation" and play around with the slider bars to make it seem more dark and eerie.

Then at the top CLICK on > "Filters"

1. select > "Render"
2. select > "Clouds"
3. select > "Fog"
4. set the fog color to yellow

CLICK on > "Filters"

1. select > "Blur"
2. select > "Gaussian Blur"
3. change the Y and X to "2.5"

CLICK on > "Filters"

1. select > "Decor"
2. select > "Coffee Stain"

CLICK on > "Filters"

1. select > "Decor"
2. select > "Old Photo"
