Course Description:
The Spring Break workshops are one day 6-hour intensive sessions that will introduce rising 6th -
8th and 9th-12th graders to such topics as Web design, Math Explorations, Engineering, and
Computer Simulations.

Participants in the Graphics and Web design workshop will work with open source graphic software
to create or manipulate an image for a web page. Students will be learning about HTML and CSS to
create a webpage.

Students in the Modeling You World workshop will explore the world through computer modeling.
They will be introduced to computational science and will work with one of following models:
Population dynamics, Predator-prey relationships or spread of infectious diseases.

Math Explorations and Engineers in Training workshop will use interactive computing to explore
one or more math and engineering concepts.
