The trial took place on July 13, 2001 with Judge Ebonee Farrow presiding.

After a lenghty (1.5 day) investigation, the prosecution decides to bring Garrett to trial for stealing the computer, tampering with private records, manslaughter, and attempted murder. The trial took place in the classroom of Shodor with office personnel and several workshop students acting as the jury.

The District attorneys presented their case to the jury and were presented with a lot of objections and obstacles by the defense throughout thier trial. Later, once the defense started to present their case they had the same type of trouble from the DA.

After the trial was over and everyone was waiting and anticipating the jury's decision. The jury came back with a verdict that a lot of the group did not like. The jury said that they based their decision on the evidence before them and the strength of the case that the defense made.
