Award Application Info

The Student Science Enrichment Program provides creative science enrichment activities for students in the 6th through 12th grades. Students who participate in these hands-on projects experience authentic science such as studying the ocean aboard a 45-foot research vessel or working alongside physicians at UNC-Chapel Hill.

The Burroughs Wellcome Fund supports these nonprofit organizations in BWF's home state of North Carolina and provides $1 million in grants annually. Individual grants provide up to $60,000 per year for three years.
