Purpose: The derivative calculator lets you choose from different prespecified functions and view a graphical representation of how derivatives are approximated using the slope between two points.

Restrictions on Use: None

General Information:

1. Use the choice box on the upper right side of the applet to choose a function to explore.
2. You can choose to view an exact value for the derivative at the two endpoints used in the approximation as well.
3. By clicking and dragging on the ends of the red and green lines, you can move the endpoints used for an approximate calculation of the derivative bewteen the two points.
