Air Quality Index Lookup Calculator

Introduction : This calculator calculates the color condition (green, yellow, orange, red, purple) for the Air Quality Index. In this calculator, you have one input values:
  1. One-hour averaged ozone concentration in parts per million (ppm)

The calculator converts the one-hour ozone concentration to the eight-hour ozone concentration using a statistical regresssion algorithm, then provides a simple lookup function based on the following table. The algorithm is:

Eight-hour ozone (in ppm) = (0.08857 * one-hour ozone) + 0.2325

0.065 - 0.084 Yellow
0.085 - 0.104 Orange
0.105 - 0.124 Red
0.125 - up Purple
