Review and Unit Quiz

This unit on cloud physics presented these seven topics:

  1. cloud formation: clouds typically form when the air becomes saturated with water vapor (relative humidity becomes 100%). Supersaturated air is air that has more water than it should be able to hold.
  2. role of aerosols in cloud formation: much of the ability for air to hold differing amounts of water is due to the presence of aerosols Cloud condensation nuclei are those aerosols that readily participate in the formation of clouds.
  3. droplet growth processes
  4. diffusion processes
  5. collison-coalescence processes
  6. ice formation
  7. clouds and air quality

Unit Quiz: You will now be presented with a five-question, multiple-choice quiz. You should score at least four out of five correct on this end-of-unit quiz before continuing to the next unit. Once you have completed the quiz, close the quiz window, and continue to the next unit
