Review and Unit Quiz
In this unit, you should have learned:
- A population is a group that represents every individual member.
- A sample is a subset of a population and for statistical reasons, should be selected randomly to ensure the most accurate representation of the population.
- The mean is the average of a set of data.
- The median is the middle value of the data set.
- The mode is the data value that occurs most often in your set of data.
- Frequency Tables help us locate the mode and calculate percentage values.
- Relative Frequency Histograms can be created from our frequency tables and are a good method to visually represent our data. When creating the histogram, we should be careful to select equal classes, or ranges of data values, that are appropriate for our data.
Unit Quiz: You will now be presented with a five-question, multiple-choice quiz. You should score at least four (4) out of five (5) on this end-of-unit quiz before continuing to the next unit. Once you have completed the quiz, close the quiz window, and continue to the next unit
