New Staff Employees

Please fill out the following forms to begin staff employment at Shodor

Monthly timesheets: The timesheets automatically calculate your accrued vacation. Salary employees accrue 10/12 of a day per month. Hourly employees accrue 1 vacation day per 200 hours worked. Maximum accrual without taking vacation: 20 days.

Salary employees: To carry over days from one year to the next, enter in cell B25 of the January tab your ending December vacation balance from the prior year with "carry-over" in the explanation. If you were hired mid-year in month X, then in cell B25 of the January tab, enter the value 10*(2-X)/12. For example, if you were hired as salary staff in April, month 4, then in cell B25 of the January tab you would enter "=10*(2-4)/12". This should create a vacation balance of 10/12 by the end of April and you should see 10/12 accrued vacation on the April tab of your timesheet.

As always, vacation time must be pre-approved by Bob, your timesheet must list your monthly accomplishments, contain a signed certification statement, and be submitted in a timely fashion.
