The students worked in assigned groups of three to make models in Netlogo. They started the
models from a blank template and followed an instruction packet on how to make the basic
model. They were all given freedom to choose what their model would portray, which agents to
use, and affecting variables. Emily lectured on how to prepare and deliver a good
presentation, teaching the students to focus on the content as well as the deliverance of the
content. The students presented their projects, which were all unique and interesting. They
all did a great job showing us what they learned from the project and from the modeling class.
