This activity allows you to calculate the probability of rolling a particular sum of two dice as well as converting probabilities into fractions, decimals, and percentages. Most number outcomes have more than one possible combination to obtain a sum. For example the outcome 6 has the possible combinations of 5+1, 4+2, and 3+3. Another term used in probability is permutation. A permutation refers to the arrangement of the numbers. For example the outcome of 6 would have 5 possible permutations: 1+5 and 5+1; 4+2 and 2+4; 3+3.
