histogram
A bar graph such that the area over each class interval is proportional to the relative frequency of data within this interval (cf Mean, Median and Mode Discussion, Continuous Distributions Discussion, Class Interval: Scale and Impression Discussion, Vertical Scale Discussion: Increase or Decrease?, and Histograms vs. Bar Graphs Discussion).
hypotenuse
The side of the triangle that is opposite the right angle (cf Length, Perimeter and Area Lesson).
