Function Text field
The text field at the top is where you enter in the function that you want to integrate.
Starting Point/Ending Point text fields
Below the Function Text field enter the starting point and ending point of the definate integral you wish to calculate.
Partition Adjustment Fields
Use the radio buttons to select the two scroll bars, which are linked together, or the text field where you can enter custom values of how many steps the integral will calculate.
Integration Method Choice Menu
Use this drop down menu to choose what type of integration you would like the computer to use. The way the integral is calculated affects the drawing of the graph.
Small-Number Addition Error
Use this drop down menu to decide whether or not to apply the additive method or multiplicative method for calculating small numbers.
Outputs
Graph
The canvas graphs the function onto it as well as the boxes for the definate integral. The function is drawn in red, while the steps of the integral are drawn in red.
Integral
The label above the graph displays the numerical value of the integral.
